LaserLux Lab brings a live engraving station to your corporate event anywhere in Dallas-Fort Worth. It costs $275 per hour with a 2-hour minimum. Guests pick an item, see their design, and watch it engraved in about 90 seconds.

This article covers who we have worked with, what to settle before you book, and what the numbers look like.

Who we have worked with

LaserLux Lab has done events or engraving for Boeing and Dimension Hospitality, including an event Dimension Hospitality hosted for Hilton Direct. We do not share details beyond that.

We are a small, owner-run business based in Princeton, TX. Founders Shoaib M Baig and Aminah A Maghrebi run it. We are 100% mobile, so there is no studio to visit. We bring the engraving station to you.

What to settle before you book

Most corporate planners need the same few answers. Here they are in one place.

QuestionOur answer
Where do you set up?At your venue. We bring the station.
How big can a design be?Up to 5 x 5 inches.
What can you engrave?300+ materials.
How fast is it?About 90 seconds per engraving, 15 to 25 guests per hour.
Minimum booking?2 hours. 3 hours for 50 to 100 guests.
Can we do studio visits? No. Everything is mobile.
How do we hold the date?A 50% deposit after you receive the invoice and service agreement.

If your logo or artwork is larger than 5 x 5 inches, it needs to be resized. We cannot go past that limit.

What it costs

The rate is $275 per hour. The table shows what common event lengths cost and how many engravings they produce at 15 to 25 per hour.

Event lengthBase priceEngravings at 15 to 25 per hour
2 hours$55030 to 50
3 hours$82545 to 75
4 hours$1,10060 to 100

Add a $150 travel fee if the venue is outside Collin County. Plano and McKinney are inside Collin County. Addison and Fort Worth are outside it.

A 3-hour event in Fort Worth would be $825 plus $150, or $975.

How many guests you can serve

Throughput decides how long to book. At 15 to 25 guests per hour, a 3-hour block serves 45 to 75 people.

The 3-hour minimum for 50 to 100 guests does not mean every guest gets an item at the top of that range. If you have 100 guests and want most of them to participate, book more hours.

Guests also do not all arrive at once. A conference with a long networking window spreads the line out. A short reception bunches it up. Tell us the schedule and we can help you pick a length.

Logos, languages and materials

Corporate teams usually want a logo on the item, a name or short message, or both. Keep the design inside the 5 x 5 inch limit.

We engrave in English, Arabic, Japanese, Chinese and Spanish. Hindi and Urdu are special requests that you arrange with the laser artist. The in-app preview cannot show non-English text, so confirm those designs with the artist directly.

At a live event, guests see a visual rendering of their design on the kiosk before it is engraved. That lets them check the layout before the laser starts.

Beyond the event: cards and your own items

Some teams pair an event with metal business cards. Metal cards start at 25 cards, and the first sample card is free. In the Cards tab of the app, you can upload a logo, preview it and see a live price.

If you want to engrave items your company already owns, use the My Item tab. Those orders get a digital proof before engraving. For smaller quantities, message the laser artist, who can usually make an exception.

The app is at https://app.laserluxlab.com. It has three tabs: Events, Cards and My Item.

Live engraving instead of a coffee cart or swag table

Think of live engraving as a replacement for a coffee cart or a swag table. It is not a cheaper version of either.

A swag table hands out the same item to everyone. Live engraving gives each guest something made for them while they watch, and the line itself becomes part of the event. That works well at a client appreciation day, a product launch or an employee event at a venue such as Legacy West in Plano.

It does not replace catering, and it does not suit every crowd. If you need to reach several hundred people in a short window, one station will not cover that.
