What Is Live Laser Engraving? A Guide for Dallas-Fort Worth Events

Live laser engraving is a laser engraver set up at your event that personalizes guests' items while they watch. A guest picks an item, gives a name, date, initials or logo, and about 90 seconds later takes home something permanent. LaserLux Lab brings the station to venues across Dallas-Fort Worth, including Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Dallas and Fort Worth.
How live laser engraving works
Two attendants run every event. A laser artist runs the machine, and a second person handles orders, the queue and photos so the line keeps moving. The station needs about a 10 by 10 foot space. We bring the power for the machine and accessories, so you only need to point us to the space. A second laser is available as an extra-cost add-on for faster service at larger events.
What we engrave
Popular items are Stanley and Owala tumblers, keychains, wallets and metal name tags. On a painted bottle, the laser removes the paint to reveal the stainless steel underneath, so the name cannot wear off. The maximum design size is 5 inches by 5 inches. At live events we recommend names, dates and initials only, which keeps each engraving near 90 seconds and the line short.
Cost and booking
Live engraving is $275 per hour with a 2-hour minimum, and events with 50 to 100 guests have a 3-hour minimum. Plan on 15 to 25 guests per hour. Events outside Collin County add a $150 travel fee. A 50% deposit locks your date, and the balance is due when the event ends. For events outside Dallas-Fort Worth, the client covers flights and hotel for the team.
Where live engraving fits
Companies use it for corporate parties, brand activations and trade shows because guests watch the laser work, then carry a branded keepsake home. Couples and hosts use it for wedding and party favors people keep instead of throwing away.
